Day 1.Nairobi - Samburu
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and driven to Samburu Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the Samburu Sopa Lodge. You will have an afternoon game drive opportunity to see lions, elephant, leopards, cheetahs, etc. The reserve is dry most of the year but animals are accessed easily at the rivers and water holes. Your dinner andovernight will be at the lodge.
Day 2. Samburu park
Enjoy a breakfast and then mid-morning game drive, lunch at the lodge, afternoon game drive opportunity to see grevys zebra, Rothchild giraffe, Elephants, lions, leopard, etc dinner and overnight at the lodge. Samburu park is well know for its resident lions who fight any other.
Day 3.Lake Nakuru
Enjoy a breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thomson Falls, arriving in time for lunch. You will have an afternoon game drive opportunity to see lions, leopards, flamingoes, rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, etc. The park covers an area of 188 sq km and provides visitors with some of Kenya's best bird watching. Thousands of flamingos join into a massive flock that fringe the shores of this soda lake a pulsing pink swathe of life that carpets the waters. The flamingos are truly a breathtaking sight! This is also an important sanctuary for rhinos, both the black and the white species, which are found under the acacias. Your dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
Day 4.Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast drive to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in one of the Seven Wonders of the World and have the opportunity to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles etc. Covering an area of over 1500 sq km the Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas and is one of the country's most popular tourism destinations. It is situated in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Nowhere else in Africa is wildlife more abundance, hence the opportunity to see the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino.
Day 5.Masai Mara National Reserve
You will have a full day game drive with a picnic lunch at the Mara River. You may have the opportunity to witness the spectacular migration of wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles etc. Wildebeest are by far the dominant inhabitants of the Masai Mara. The great wildebeest migration occurs from August - October each year. There are plenty of accommodation options both inside and outside the reserve, including lodges, camps and temporary tents. Balloon safaris are available as well. Your dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
Day 6.Masai Mara – Nairobi.
Depending on the time available in the morning, you may enjoy one last early game drive before eating breakfast and driving to your hotel or the airport.
